About Me
My name is Jill Avasthi and I’m a Bay Area native currently living in Livermore, California. Education is my passion and I love to teach. I began teaching in college with the non-profit Girls inc. in Oakland, CA. After graduating from UC Berkeley in 2013, I continued working with children at the environmental non-profit SaveNature.org. Later, I worked as a college tutor providing lessons in Spanish and Statistics while taking post-bacc classes at Sacramento City College. I have also worked with special-needs children as an educational aide at Folsom Cordova Unified School District. During the pandemic, I tutored students online in many different subjects. As an educator, I put my students first and I love watching them learn and succeed. When I’m not teaching, you can find me spending time with my husband and our dogs, Couscous and Chai, backpacking, and traveling.
