We tutor in many subjects, but our specialties are English, Spanish, English as a Second Language, and Biology. We also tutor students in Math, Chemistry, Physics, SAT Prep, and offer general homework help. If a subject you are looking for isn’t listed on this website, you can always ask using the contact page.

Online lessons are taught over Zoom. In-person lessons can be in your home or in a quiet, public space such as a library, cafe, or park. Avasthi Tutoring does not have a tutoring facility and does not provide transportation for its students.

Our private one hour lessons are $45 per lesson. Group lessons cost $35 per student for one hour lessons. One and a half hour private lessons cost $65 per lesson.

At the moment, we accept cash, Zelle, Paypal, Apple Pay, Venmo, Google Pay, and personal checks.  Some methods of payment involve additional fees. We now also accept all major credit cards on our website.

We currently offer a bulk discount for private lessons. Our packages come in 10, 15, or 20 lessons. Ten 1-hour lessons cost $380, a 15% discount; 15 lessons cost $570, and 20 lessons for $760. To receive these discounts when purchasing on our website, enter code BULK10, BULK15, or BULK20.

Your child’s health and education is important to us, as is the health and safety of our other students. If your child is sick or not feeling well, please cancel the lesson as early as possible. You will not be charged a cancellation fee. If your child feels well enough for a lesson, but is still showing symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, or runny nose, contact us about the possibility of conducting the lesson online to prevent the illness from spreading to our tutors and potentially to other students.

Cancellations or rescheduling can be made by the student/parent with no fee up to 8 hours before the lesson. The request can be made via email, text, or phone. Cancellations or rescheduling made less than 8 hours before the scheduled lesson time will incur a $10 fee. This fee will not be charged in the case of an emergency or illness.

No-shows will be charged full price for the lesson. Lessons are treated as no-shows if the student does not arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, or if a cancellation is made after the lesson start time.

​​If Avasthi Tutoring cancels an appointment with less than 8 hours notice, a new lesson will be scheduled without penalty to the client, subject to availability.

Avasthi Tutoring is based in Livermore, CA. In-person tutoring is offered within a 15-mile radius. If you are located outside of that but are willing to drive to a meeting spot located within 15 miles, please let us know.
